Mumbai: A 24-year-old woman has been taken into custody for allegedly sending a threatening message directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, warning that he would be killed “like Baba Siddique” unless he resigned from his position within ten days.

The Mumbai Police apprehended Fatima Khan after tracing the threatening message back to her phone number. Sources indicate that Khan, who possesses a BSc in Information Technology and resides in Thane with her family, has been grappling with mental health challenges. Her father is reportedly involved in the timber business.

The arrest follows a report received by the Mumbai Traffic Police control room, which contained the death threat against Adityanath. The message was sent via a WhatsApp helpline from an unidentified number, threatening the chief minister’s life if he failed to step down within the specified timeframe.
